Adobe Commerce Optimizer is the headless storefront layer — a best-in-class storefront powered by scalable, AI-driven SaaS services that sits on top of your existing Commerce solution.
What Optimizer is
Think of Optimizer as a separate, Adobe-managed front-end that communicates with your existing Adobe Commerce backend over APIs. Adobe operates the storefront infrastructure, the AI personalization layer, and the catalog ingestion pipeline — you keep your existing backend investment intact.
What problem it solves
Performant headless storefronts are hard. PWAs require ongoing investment in front-end engineering, hosting, and caching. Most merchants don’t want to be in the headless storefront infrastructure business — they want a fast, modern storefront that just works.
Optimizer is Adobe’s answer: you bring the Commerce backend, Adobe delivers the storefront. AI-driven personalization, fast page loads, and storefront-level analytics are included.
When to consider it
- You have an existing Adobe Commerce backend and want a modern headless storefront without building your own.
- You want Adobe’s AI personalization without orchestrating multiple Experience Cloud products yourself.
- You don’t want to maintain a PWA codebase or a custom headless front-end.
